
Interstate 64 lane closures set for May 7-8 in Augusta County
The Virginia Department of Transportation will have an overnight lane closure May 7-8 along eastbound Interstate 64 between mile markers 89 and 91 in Augusta County.

The Virginia Department of Transportation will have overnight lane closures on April 27 and 28 along Interstate 64 between mile markers 87 and 94 in Augusta County. This will allow installation of a bridge overhang at exit 91 in the Fishersville area.

Motorists should be alert for northbound and southbound slow-roll lane closures on Sunday, April 27along Interstate 81 in Augusta County. The brief closures are needed for installation of a fiber-optic line over the interstate.

At approximately 6:45 p.m., the Virginia State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation’s Appomattox Field Office, with the assistance of the Rockbridge Regional Drug Task Force, executed search warrants in Greenville at a motel along Lee-Jackson Highway and at a private residence.

The Virginia Department of Transportation has closed part of Route 733 (Moffett Branch Road) in Augusta County, after an inspection this week revealed additional deterioration to the bridge over Elk Run. The location is about 0.6-mile north of Route 734 (Hupman Road) near Churchville.
