Chris Dillow Waynesboro, Va., weighed a five-bass limit totaling 16 pounds, 5 ounces Saturday to win the first Walmart Bass Fishing League Shenandoah Division tournament of 2014 on Smith Mountain Lake. For his victory, Dillow earned $6,796.

UVa. scored a run in the third inning on Sunday in its series finale with Clemson on a sacrifice fly off the bat of Mike Papi that plated Robbie Coman from third base. Who knew then, but that was to be the only run in what turned out to be a 1-0 win for the second-ranked Cavs, who it would be understating things to say have been playing a lot of low-scoring ACC games in 2014.

It is with some pride that I can report that on the 25th of March, the first daffodil bloomed in my yard.
