The Bridgewater College Alumni Choir will present a concert at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 17, at the Bridgewater Church of the Brethren located at 420 College View Drive.

Following a vote of the league’s coaches, the Bridgewater Eagles football team was tabbed to finish fifth in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) during the 2014 season according to a press release from the league office. Bridgewater picked up 23 total points to round out the top five.

From lectures by featured speakers to music performances and theater productions, Bridgewater College offers a wide range of arts and events for the community to enjoy during the 2014 fall semester.

Former Bridgewater College men’s basketball player Ronnie Thomas will have the opportunity of a lifetime starting in August when he travels to Ireland to take part in the Victory Scholarship program through Sport Changes Life.

Shattering a number of long-lived myths is one of the goals of this year’s Virginia Private College Week, which will be observed at Bridgewater College July 28-Aug. 2.

Christian Sheridan, an associate professor of English at Bridgewater College, is one of a select group of faculty members nationwide chosen by the Council of Independent Colleges (CIC) and the Center for Hellenic Studies to participate in an Ancient Greece in the Modern Classroom seminar on Homer’s Odyssey.
