uva soccerThe No. 3 Virginia women’s soccer team continues a three-game road trip on Sunday, staying on the road to take on Wake Forest at 1 p.m. at Spry Soccer Stadium.

Virginia (9-1-1, 3-1-0 ACC) is coming off a 2-0 victory at No. 5 Clemson on Thursday night. It marked the second consecutive win for the Cavaliers and is the third shutout in conference play. Wake Forest (4-8-2, 1-4-0 ACC) is coming off a 3-1 loss to Virginia Tech on Thursday night

Brittany Ratcliffe (Williamstown, N.J.) and Morgan Reuther (Chantilly, Va.) scored the two goals for the Cavaliers in the victory over Clemson, while Alexis Shaffer (Cary, N.C.) and Courtney Petersen (Canton, Mich.) provided the assists on the goals.

Shaffer and Reuther are now tied for the team lead in points with 15 each. Shaffer has five goals and five assists on the season, while Reuther holds a team-leading seven goals.
