Virginia led by as many as 12, then held off a Clemson rally with solid D in the fourth quarter to finish off a 67-60 road win on Thursday.

Kymora Johnson led UVA (10-6, 2-2 ACC, NET: 101) with 28 points (9-of-19 FG, 4-of-7 3FG, 6-of-6 FT) and six assists vs. four turnovers.

Latasha Lattimore posted a double-double – 12 points (4-of-9 FG, 0-of-1 3FG, 4-of-4 FT) and 11 rebounds.

The Cavaliers led 35-27 at halftime, and extended the lead to 45-33 on a Lattimore layup at the 4:36 mark of the third quarter.

Clemson (10-6, 3-2 ACC, NET: 52) closed the third on a 10-3 run to cut the margin to five going into the fourth quarter, and twice got the deficit down to three, the final time on a Raven Thompson layup with 4:55 to go.

This is where Virginia took control with its D, holding the Tigers to a single made field goal over the next 4:36

A three from Olivia McGhee (14 points, 6-of-9 FG, 2-of-4 3FG) with 2:59 to go extended the UVA lead to eight, and the ‘Hoos closed the game out with 6-of-6 shooting at the line in the final 44 seconds.
