The UVA Women’s Basketball program announced Wednesday a 2024-2025 non-conference schedule that features eight games at John Paul Jones Arena in addition to a preseason exhibition game.

Spoiler alert: it’s not a schedule that you put together thinking you’re going to be competing for seeding in the NCAA Tournament.

Virginia will host Barton College in a preseason exhibition game on Thursday, Oct. 31. That contest will be open to the public with free admission.

The 2024-2025 season will tip off on Monday, Nov. 4 against American.

The Cavaliers will play at Oklahoma on Friday, Nov. 8. The Sooners (23-10) were a five-seed in the 2024 NCAA Tournament.

Virginia will welcome Auburn to JPJ on Thursday, Dec. 5 in the ACC/SEC Challenge.

The Cavaliers’ home schedule also features matchups with Radford (Nov. 13), LaSalle (Nov. 17), Alabama State (Nov. 20), Bethune-Cookman (Nov. 24), Maryland-Eastern Shore (Dec. 17) and Coppin State (Dec. 21).

Virginia will travel to San Juan for the Discover Puerto Rico Shootout where the ‘Hoos will join Green Bay (Nov. 28), Washington State (Nov. 29), and Wyoming (Nov. 30) in the four-team field.
