Columbia Gas began work today to replace an existing gas main in Waynesboro which may lead to some traffic delays near the South River Greenway.

According to city officials, the work will continue through late November.

Traffic impacts will include:

  • Short Street: One lane closed at times
  • South Charlotte Avenue: Partial alley closures

Flaggers will be on site in the work zone to assist drivers in the area.

The South River Greenway and associated parking lots will remain open as the work is completed.
