vtech-logoVirginia Tech plans to accept late admissions applications from students impacted by the closing of Sweet Briar College, which was announced earlier this week.

“We were saddened to learn the news of Sweet Briar College deciding to close. The Office of Undergraduate Admissions will do whatever possible to help the students affected by this unfortunate event who wish to pursue an education at Virginia Tech,” says Mildred R. Johnson, associate vice provost for enrollment management and director of undergraduate admissions.

Current Sweet Briar College students who wish to continue their education at Virginia Tech must complete anonline transfer application as soon as possible. Freshman applicants who applied to Sweet Briar College for admission in the fall of 2015 need to complete a paper application as soon as possible. An admissions representative will participate in a transfer fair hosted by Sweet Briar College later this month. Sweet Briar students with questions about Virginia Tech’s application should email [email protected].
