Virginia Beach Republican Terrie Suit is resigning from her seat in the Virginia House of Delegates to take a job with the Richmond-based Williams Mullen.

“As lifelong military family members, we felt strongly that we should get involved in the community where we lived, plant roots, and advocate on behalf of other military families in Virginia. That goal was met,” said Suit, who will join Williams Mullen as its director of governmental relations.

Suit will work out of Williams Mullen’s Hampton Roads office. She said that the opportunity to settle down in the wake of her husband Tom’s retirement from the military after 27 years of service was a motivating factor.

“I am excited to begin this new chapter in my life with the professionals at Williams Mullen. I look forward to working with the firm to further expand its presence in Hampton Roads and throughout Virginia,” Suit said.

Williams Mullen is where former attorney general and unsuccessful 2005 GOP gubernatorial candidate Jerry Kilgore landed after his career in elected politics came to an end. Kilgore is chairman of government relations for the firm, which has offices in Virginia, Washington, D.C., North Carolina and London.

Glenn Youngkin desperately wants a job in the Trump regime, for a reason that I can’t put my finger on: Youngkin has a net worth of $400 million, most of that his equity in the ghastly private-equity firm he led before he ran for governor in 2021.
