route 29The Virginia Department of Transportation and Albemarle County will host a briefing for major employers along the Route 29 corridor Wednesday morning at the Doubletree Hotel. The event will run from 7:30 a.m. until 9:30 a.m.

The purpose of the briefing is to provide representatives of those major employers with information about the Route 29 Solutions projects and to ensure that these businesses, their employees and their customers have the information they need to minimize the project impacts on their use of the corridor.

Attendees will have an opportunity to speak informally with representatives from VDOT’s Route 29 Solutions project team, representatives from the contractor and with Albemarle County staff. At 7:45 a.m. and again at 8:45 a.m. VDOT will present information on the Route 29 improvement projects, followed by presentations by Albemarle County staff on the county’s business assistance and neighborhood impact mitigation programs
