UVA to host William & Mary, ECU, Bryant in NCAA Regionals

uva baseballDefending national champ UVA (37-20) will face CAA champ William & Mary (29-29) at 1 p.m. Friday in the opening game of the Charlottesville Regional.

#3 seed East Carolina (34-24) will face #2 seed Bryant (47-10) in the second game on Friday.

The winner of the Charlottesville Regional faces the winner of the Lubbock Regional, which is being hosted by #5 national seed Texas Tech (41-16).

Virginia defeated William & Mary 16-8 in a game in Charlottesville on March 1.

ECU took a three-game series at Davenport in February, winning two of the three games.

The Cavs are rated 17th in the final regular season RPI. Bryant is 28th, ECU 36th and William & Mary is 97th.
