It’s been a busy past few days for the UVA Football brain trust in terms of the transfer portal.

The focal points since the early part of the week, which saw the QB room completed with the addition of two former P4 starters, have been the D line, the secondary, and wideout.

247Sports ranks the 2026 Virginia class 36th nationally and sixth in the ACC.

On3 ranks the class 34th nationally and seventh in the ACC.

Looking back at how the recruiting services viewed the 2025 portal class:

• 247Sports: 26th nationally/fourth ACC
• On3: 27th nationally/fifth ACC

Odd, because I like the roster better at this stage this year than I did at this stage last year.

Maybe that’s because the recruiting services don’t account for retention.
