Preseason All-ACC guard Kymora Johnson had a big Sunday for Virginia, with 23 points, seven assists and five steals, to lead the ‘Hoos to an easy 80-35 win over Bucknell.

UVA (2-0) opened the game on a 13-0 scoring run, and it was 26-6 at the end of the first quarter, to give you a sense of the lack of competitiveness.

The Cavaliers held Buckness to 29 percent shooting, just one make from three, and outrebounded the Bison 52-23.

“I thought it was a great day for us. Great game,” UVA coach Amaka Agugua-Hamilton said. “We had so many people contribute. I thought scoring was spread around. Defense was huge. We did a great job communicating early, switching, sticking to our principles and executing our game plan.”
