UVA basketball holds at #2 in AP Top 25

uva basketballUVA held on to its #2 ranking in this week’s Associated Press Top 25. The Cavs (23-1, 11-1 ACC) won both of their games last week, 51-47 at N.C. State on Wednesday and 61-60 at home against Wake Forest on Saturday.

Virginia maintains a two-game lead in the loss column in the ACC standings over Notre Dame (22-4, 10-3 ACC), ranked 10th in this week’s AP poll, and Duke (22-3, 9-3 ACC), which was ranked fourth in the poll.

Louisville (20-5, 8-4 ACC) dropped from ninth to 12th with the loss to unranked N.C. State. North Carolina (18-7, 8-4 ACC) dropped from 12th to 15th with its 89-76 loss on Saturday at unranked Pitt.
