Update: Charlottesville woman charged in suspicious pizza shop fire

An arrest has been made in the suspicious fire at an Albemarle County pizza shop in the early-morning hours of Aug. 11.

The Albemarle County Fire Marshal’s Office has charged Rachel R. Drame, 38, of Charlottesville, in connection with the fire at Vocelli Pizza on Seminole Trail.

Drame is being held without bond at the Albemarle-Charlottesville Regional Jail.

The call to 911 was logged at 1:45 a.m. on Aug. 11, and when units from Albemarle County Fire Rescue arrived at the scene, they found fire in the front of the building and two trash cans burning on the sidewalk.

There were no injuries reported resulting from the fire or its suppression.

The fire caused an estimated $30,000 damage.
