Trump, MAGAs go racist at Kamala Harris: ‘Dumb as a Rock,’ ‘DEI hire’

It didn’t take long for the Trump campaign and his MAGA bootlickers in Congress to go all-out racist on the new presumptive Democratic Party presidential nominee, Kamala Harris.

Donald Trump, in a post on his failing Truth Social money-drain, laid down a “Dumb as a Rock” insult on Harris in his latest tired complaint about “the Fake News.”

“They’re doing their very best to turn the Worst President in the History of our Country into a ‘Brilliant and Heroic Leader’ (He was heroic because he quit!), and to turn ‘Dumb as a Rock’ Kamala Harris from a totally failed and insignificant Vice President into a future ‘Great’ President. No, it just doesn’t work that way!” Trump whined.

Harris has her undergrad degree from Howard (#115 in the US News college rankings) and her law degree from Cal (#12 in the US News law school rankings), so, “Dumb as a Rock,” she is not, but Trump isn’t going at her smarts; he’s going at her race.

That much is evident from the chatter on the MAGA far-right about Harris being a “DEI hire,” which was literally the term that Tennessee Congressman Tim Burchett used in an interview with CNN on Monday.

“Biden said, first off, he said he’s going to hire a black female for vice president and then just skipped over, what about, what about white females? What about any other group?” Burchett said. “It just, when you go down that route, if you take mediocrity, and that’s what they have right now as a vice president …”

When pressed on what he was actually trying to say, he went there.

“One hundred percent, she was a DEI hire,” Burchett said.

Burchett has an undergrad degree in education from the University of Tennessee (#105 in the US News college rankings) which he has barely used – for a guy who postures about how he hates government with a passion, he’s paid his bills from holding down jobs in elected local, state and the federal government for the past 30 years.

Credit to Burchett, though, because it’s tough getting those kinds of jobs if you’re white, male and Republican down in Tennessee.
