The first formal conversation for voting rights for women in America began in 1848 when key members of the women’s suffrage movement met over tea.

The Woodrow Wilson Presidential Library & Museum and Medieval Fantasies Company will host a Suffrage Tea on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at 3 p.m.

Join the WWPL for a High Tea, featuring refreshments by Nu-Beginning Farm: The Store, and learn a bit about the famous women. Suffrage-themed attire is encouraged.

Tickets are $40 per person for non-members, and $30 per person for WWPL members. Registration will be available through August 1, 2024, and can be purchased online here. For questions or more information, contact Emily Kilgore at [email protected] or call 540-885-0897 ext. 122.

The Woodrow Wilson Presidential Library & Museum is an educational institution dedicated to the study of the life of President Wilson and the times in which he lived. In addition to welcoming museum visitors from around the world, the Presidential Library produces online and in-person educational programming for people of all ages. The museum is at 20 N. Coalter Street, Staunton.
