Road work to take place on 29 Business in Amherst County

road-work-headerDelays are possible during two separate operations by the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) on Route 29 Business in Amherst County.

Motorists should be alert to trench widening and paving operations on Route 29 Business southbound between Route 671 and Route 657 beginning Tuesday, November 4.  In addition, traffic on Route 29 Business north- and southbound between Route 1108 and Route 731 should expect delays due to milling and paving operations during the week of November 10. Dates are subject to change due to availability of equipment and materials, as well as due to weather conditions.

Signs and other traffic control devices will alert motorists to the presence of manpower and equipment. Caution is urged.
