Repairs to grade crossing, entrance to Green Hills Industrial Park in Staunton

AFP

staunton2editsOn Thursday, the Shenandoah Valley Railroad will begin repairing the grade crossing at the entrance to Green Hills Industrial Park at Technology Drive and Commerce Road. Traffic will be restricted to just one lane.

Railroad contractors will be responsible for maintaining traffic flow both in and out of Green Hills. Traffic will be controlled by flaggers and some minor delays should be expected. The majority of the work is being scheduled over the weekend to minimize the impact on business and daily activities. All construction work is scheduled to be completed by Monday morning, August 25, 2014.

This work will result in a smoother ride entering and exiting Green Hills, as well as improve the safety of the track bed for the railroad.
