Red Sox down O’s on Memorial Day, 7-2

tyler wilsonA Jackie Bradley Jr. homer broke a 2-2 tie, and the Boston Red Sox rolled to a 7-2 win over the Baltimore Orioles on Monday afternoon.

UVA alum Tyler Wilson (2-4, 3.83 ERA) had a nice outing for the O’s (28-21), surrendering three runs on eight hits in six and two-thirds innings, striking out four and walking two.

Steven Wright (5-4, 2.45 ERA) was just a little bit better, giving up two runs on four hits in the complete-game effort, striking out seven and walking five.

David Ortiz hit his 14th homer for the Sox (31-20), who lead the Orioles by two in the American League East.
