There was no grand prize winner in the Powerball drawing Wednesday night growing the estimated jackpot to $1.5 billion.

If won on Saturday night, the jackpot will register as the fifth largest in the history of the Powerball game.

The six numbers drawn on Wednesday were white balls 25, 33, 53, 62, 66 and red Powerball 17. The Power Play multiplier was four.

Five tickets in Virginia each won $50,000. Those five tickets each matched four of the first five winning numbers plus the Powerball number.

The $50K tickets in Virginia were bought at:

  • Food Lion, 4092 Lankford Highway, Exmore
  • Safeway, 3043 Nutley Street, Fairfax
  • Tiger Market and Bakery, 3903 Mt. Vernon Avenue, Alexandria
  • Fas Mart, 4690 Pouncey Tract Road, Glen Allen
  • Smoketown Shell, 15550 Neabsco Mills Road, Woodbridge

All Virginia Lottery profits, including those from the sale of Powerball tickets, go to K-12 education in Virginia.

Powerball drawings are held at 10:59 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Powerball tickets are $2 per play. Tickets are sold in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

If a player wins Saturday’s jackpot, they will have the choice between an annuitized prize estimated at $1.5 billion or a lump sum payment estimated at $686.5 million. Both prize options are before taxes. If the winner selects the annuity option, they will receive one immediate payment followed by 29 annual payments that increase by five percent each year.

The odds of matching all six numbers to win the jackpot are 1 in 292,201,338. The odds of winning any prize are one in 25.
