Police seek iPad thief

Waynesboro Police are investigating a felony shoplifting of an Apple iPad that occurred at the Waynesboro Walmart on Monday, Nov. 28 between 7:30-7:40 p.m.

Police are requesting the public’s help in identifying a male suspect caught on store surveillance cameras breaking into an electronics case and removing an iPad valued at over $400.

Surveillance cameras show the man entering the store and heading straight for the electronics department where he is observed furtively working to get the case open and then taking the iPad. He then conceals the item on his person and proceeds to the exit leaving the store.

Anyone with Information about this case or who can identify the suspect from the attached video and stills is asked to contact the Waynesboro Police Department at 540.942.6675 or Crime Stoppers at 800.322.2017. Callers to Crime Stoppers do not have to give their name and may be eligible for a reward.
