A Greene County man died from injuries in a single-vehicle crash involving his motorcycle on Tuesday.
Austin Reed Young, 27, of Ruckersville, died at the scene of the 5:22 p.m. crash on Swift Run Road (Route 623), approximately 50 yards south of Wildwood Drive, according to a report from Virginia State Police.
Young was driving south on Swift Run Road on a 2025 Kawasaki ZX1000 motorcycle when the motorcycle crossed the centerline, ran off the left side of the road, struck a utility pole, and then struck a tree.
Young died at the scene.
