Minor injuries in Augusta County crash

augusta countyVirginia State Police Trooper J.S. Martin is investigating a single-vehicle crash in Augusta County. The crash occurred Aug. 29 at approximately noon in the 900 block of Bald Rock Road in Verona.

A 2000 Toyota Camry was traveling south on Bald Rock River when it ran off the right side of the road. The car continued into the Middle River where it overturned.

The driver, a 25-year-old Augusta County female, and her 2-year-old daughter were able to exit the vehicle on their own. They were both transported to Augusta Health for treatment of minor injuries.

Charges are pending. The crash remains under investigation.
