- UVA meets St. Francis Brooklyn for the first time and plays its first of two contests against a Northeast Conference opponent this season (Robert Morris).
- UVA owns the nation’s seventh-longest current NCAA Division I home-winning streak at 20 games.
- Cavalier forwards Austin Nichols and Mamadi Diakite are expected to make their UVA debuts after missing the opener at UNCG.
- No. 8/7 Virginia defeated UNCG 76-51 in season-opening action at the Greensboro Coliseum on Friday, Nov. 11.
- Junior Marial Shayok led four Cavaliers in double figures with 15 points as the Cavaliers posted their fourth straight season-opening win.
- Virginia held UNCG scoreless for 11:19 spanning halftime and used a 22-0 run to blow the game open. • UVA shot 52 percent from the field and was 8-of-16 from 3-point range.
- Redshirt junior Darius Thompson added 12 points and a career-best three 3-pointers, tying the school record with eight consecutive 3-pointers dating back to last season.
- Junior Isaiah Wilkins added 10 points and a game-high nine rebounds and senior London Perrantes chipped in 10 points and three assists.
- Junior Jarred Reuter tallied eight points and six rebounds and Jack Salt contributed a career-best seven points and three assists.
