Fifth District congressional candidate Tom Perriello is using the web and a dash of levity to draw attention to Republican incumbent Virgil Goode’s ties to Big Oil.

“This video is a humorous way to learn how Congressman Goode personally and politically benefits from Big Oil, but the facts of the video should not be taken lightly,” said Jessica Barba, communications director for the Perriello campaign, which released a video today featuring questions asked of Fifth District residents about Goode’s ties to the oil industry.

“Virgil Goode has had 12 years in Washington to do something about gas prices and energy independence, and all we’ve seen is more handouts to the oil companies. It’s no wonder the solutions he offers will save Americans only two cents on the gallon, while his oil investments have gone up 800 percent,” Barba said.
