Doubleheader to end Generals ’09 season

The Waynesboro Generals will host South Division rivals Covington and Rockbridge in a rare afternoon-evening two-visiting-team doubleheader today at Fishburne Military School Park at Kate Collins Field to conclude the 2009 Valley League season.
The Covington Lumberjacks will be in town for a 2:30 p.m. first pitch to make up last night’s rainout. The finale against the Rockbridge Rapids is slated for a 7 p.m. first pitch.
The Generals were eliminated from playoff contention Tuesday night with a 16-8 loss at Staunton.
