Donald Trump, for once, has a valid point, when he asks, “Who is Ben Carson to question my faith?” I mean, Trump has made it clear that he thinks the Bible is a good book, awesome, the best book of all time, and that’s enough for me.
You know, to think that Trump probably once opened up a Bible, or saw one in a hotel room, though I doubt that he stays in the kind of hotels that put Bibles in the top dresser drawer.
But, anyway, Ben Carson, questioning Trump’s faith, yeah, what about that?
Seriously, how dare he?
Now, it’s perfectly OK to question someone’s competence, like Trump does, oh, regarding anyone not named Trump.
The rest of us are “idiots,” “morons,” “losers.”
Or if you’re President Obama or Secretary of State John Kerry, you’re guilty of bad deal-making, a cardinal sin in the Trumpverse.
“I’ve been making lots of wonderful deals, great deals, that’s what I do. Never, ever, ever in my life have I seen any transaction so incompetently negotiated as our deal with Iran,” the Trump Card said at yesterday’s anti-Iran deal rally.
And that’s saying a lot, that he’s never seen a transaction so “incompetently negotiated” as the Iran deal.
This coming from a guy whose companies have filed for bankruptcy protection four times.
“We are led by very, very stupid people. Very, very stupid people.”
This was Trump again at the anti-Iran deal rally. Not, just to be clear, at his most recent Trump Organization management meeting.
Note to Trump: you don’t get to file the country for bankruptcy and start over when you make your next bad deal if you’re president, and you let China put one over on you like you did Atlantic City.
But back to Ben Carson. Who is that guy to question his faith?
Should be questioning his acumen.
