Dinwiddie County: Two National Guardsmen injured in Humvee crash

Two National Guard soldiers were seriously injured when their Humvee overturned on Route 460 in Dinwiddie County on Saturday.

The driver of the vehicle was transported by ambulance to VCU Medical Center, and the front-seat passenger was flown to VCU Medical Center by MedFlight, according to a report from Virginia State Police on the 3:10 p.m. accident.

Per the report, the Humvee was part of a military convoy and was towing a single-axle trailer when the driver began to lose control due to issues with the trailer.

The vehicle ran off the right side of the road and overturned several times.

The crash remains under investigation.
