The Dash struck first in the first inning with a solo home run from Eddy Alvarez off of Trey Ball for a 1-0 lead. The bats then went quiet until the fifth inning, when the Dash sent 11 men to the plate. With runners on first and third, Ball spiked a pitch in the dirt allowing Nolan Earley to score from third. After singles from Adam Engel and Eddy Alvarez loaded the bases, Ball walked Jake Peter, driving in Michael Danner and pushing the score to 3-0.

Ball’s day ended there as Brandon Show was summoned from the bullpen with nobody out and the bases loaded. Omar Narvaez later singled in Jake Peter and TJ Williams followed with a sacrifice fly, scoring Nick Basto to make the score 7-0 Dash.

Ball (8-10) was tagged for six runs on eight hits and two walks with five strikeouts over four plus innings pitched.
