High school seniors are eligible for 20 scholarships include those attending public high schools in DCCU’s service area (see list at right); local private schools; and home-schooled students. For the first time this year an adult student completing continuing education course work will also be eligible for one scholarship.
Applicants will complete an online course, How to pay for school, and type a 300-500 word essay, “How do you plan to pay for your college education”? The applicant will be required to complete the assignment on their own. The application and essay can be completed online at www.mydccu.com.
If the applicant does not have internet access, they may visit a DCCU office location in Waynesboro, Staunton, Stuarts Draft, Verona, Harrisonburg, or Woodstock to complete the requirements. Notification of the scholarship winners will be mailed shortly after the decision with an invitation to be recognized and attend the Credit Union’s Annual meeting in late April.
