Is your business prepared for disaster?

On Tuesday, February 17th the Charlottesville Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a Take Away Tuesday event focusing on business preparedness. The Charlottesville-UVa-Albemarle Office of Emergency Management will educate local business owners and managers on how to prepare for a disaster.

The session will cover:

  • Business continuity planning
  • Emergency planning for employees
  • Planning to stay or go
  • Practice, practice, practice

Local businesses are vital to any community. Over 40% of businesses never recover after a major disaster. Don’t be that business!

The Charlottesville Chamber of Commerce will host the Take Away Tuesday event on Thursday, February 17th from 12pm to 1:30pm at the Chamber of Commerce (209 5th Street NE, Charlottesville). The event is $5 for Chamber members and $10 for nonmembers. To register, email Andrea Copeland at [email protected].
