Students at Bridgewater College will present five short plays about life Feb. 18-21 at 7 p.m. in the Cole Hall auditorium.
Oh, The Humanity (and other good intentions) by Will Eno will be offered by Theatre at Bridgewater College.
Witty, charming and playful, this production exposes the terrible hope and hilarious uncertainty of life, through the eyes of the well-known New York playwright.
Student actors will portray a selection of people with something on their mind: a coach with an awkward confession, a spokeswoman who doesn’t know what to say and a couple who wants to fall in love.
Actors include Catelyn York, Malachi Benjamin, Maylynn Watson, Kayla Stanley, Brian Kennedy, Zander Hall, Tyler Hanning and Rayllah Mincey.
The play is directed by Dr. Scott Cole, associate professor of theatre.
Student assistant directors are Mark Carlson, Maria Gavriilidou, Patricia Long, Jamiah Mark and Acacia Scott.
Tickets are available at the door. Entry is free for Bridgewater College staff, students and faculty. There is a $10 fee for community members who wish to attend; the fee is only $8 for seniors, age 65 and older. Patrons are asked to arrive 30 minutes in advance of showtime for ticketing.
The play is recommended for a mature audience.
