Moral Courage College founder and bestselling author Irshad Manji will offer an endowed lecture Wednesday night at Bridgewater College.

Manji’s talk, titled “Moral Courage: How to Make a Difference in a Messy World,” will be delivered at 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 21 in Cole Hall.

Manji’s organization equips people to turn heated issues into healthy conversations, allowing you to have positive relationships with friends and family, regardless of politics.

The recipient of Oprah’s Chutzpah Award for boldness, Manji is also executive producer of the prize-winning documentary film “Mississippi Turning” which covers the controversy over Confederate imagery on the state flag.

Formerly a professor of leadership at New York University, Manji now teaches with the University of Oxford’s Initiative for Global Ethics and Human Rights.

After her talk, Manji will sign copies of her latest book, Don’t Label Me: An Incredible Conversation for Divided Times. Copies of her book will be available for sale at the event.

The endowed lecture is sponsored by the Anna B. Mow Symposium on Comparative Religious Ethics.

The event is free and open to the public. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
