The ghosts of Christmas past, present and future will grace the stage of the Wayne Theatre in December as it presents the musical adaptation of A Christmas Carol.

This theatrical version of Charles Dickens’ classic tale blends spirited storytelling with richly arranged carols and features six songs not heard in the movie.

Scrooge! The Christmas Carol Musical will run Dec. 5-7 and Dec. 12-14 for eight shows including four matinees at the Waynesboro performing arts center.

The musical “captures the joy and redemption that are at the heart of Dickens’ story while giving audiences the energy and immediacy of live musical theatre,” said Tracy Straight, executive director with the Wayne Theatre. “It’s an ideal production to share with family, friends and our wider community during the holidays.”

Scrooge! is the stage adaptation by Leslie Bricusse that expands the beloved tale with additional music and dance. The result is a retelling that highlights Ebenezer Scrooge’s journey from miserliness to generosity, reminding audiences of the enduring power of compassion and community during the holiday season.

Patrons will be treated to ensemble numbers, memorable solos and visuals that glow with seasonal warmth.
