The author of a biography and musical on the life of country-music legend Patsy Cline will be in Lexington this weekend for a reception and for callbacks for an upcoming Theater at Lime Kiln production.

Honky Tonk Angel: The Intimate Story of Patsy Cline author Ellis Nassour will be on hand for a media reception at Books and Company at 20 West Nelson Street in Downtown Lexington on Friday at 1 p.m. Nassour and Rob Mish, the director of the Lime Kiln production of Patsy … Honky Tonk Angel, will be conducting callbacks for the musical at 11:30 a.m. at the theater.

The production will play at Lime Kiln July 11-13 and July 18-20.

“We are still looking for several characters,” Lime Kiln executive director Kim Edward Renz said. “Actors and singers to play Dottie West, Brenda Lee, Loretta Lynn and Patsy Cline. And we need men, too. There are great roles for men who can play from 20s to 40s, including ‘The Sheriff’ Faron Young, Randy Hughes and Patsy’s husband, Charlie Dick.”

Renz asks those still wishing to get involved to contact the Lime Kiln office by Friday so they can be considered in callbacks. “We have seen and heard some wonderful actors, but we still need to flesh out the cast. Sales are going well so far, and we want the best ensemble possible,” Renz said.

Call Renz at 540.463.7088, or e-mail a resume to [email protected].
