Albemarle County: Authorities looking for home surveillance videos after shots fired Sunday morning

Shots were fired in Albemarle County this morning, and authorities are looking for home surveillance videos to identify a suspect.

The Albemarle County Police Department responded after multiple shots were fired in the area of 2200 Commonwealth Drive Sunday morning at 10:12 a.m. The address is near multiple apartments and duplexes close to the entrance to the Turtle Creek condominiums in Charlottesville.

First responders arrived and located multiple vehicles and residential buildings with property damage. No injuries were reported.

This is believed to be an isolated incident with no threat to the public, and the investigation is ongoing.

Residents in the surrounding areas are encouraged to review their home surveillance systems for any footage that may assist in the investigation.
