Robert Hurt office accepting military service academy nomination applications

Robert_HurtCongressman Robert Hurt (R-Virginia) released the following statement regarding the deadline for Fifth District Virginians to request nominations to the following United States Military Academies for the 2016 academic year: U.S. Air Force Academy, U.S. Military Academy, U.S. Naval Academy, and U.S. Merchant Marine Academy. The deadline for submitting an application is November 2, 2015:

“As the representative for Virginia’s Fifth District, I have the honor of nominating candidates to United States Military Service Academies each year.  An appointee to one of these prestigious institutions is admitted on a full scholarship with access to exceptional academic opportunities.  I welcome the opportunity to nominate outstanding candidates to a service academy, and I encourage those who are interested to send their applications to my office by November 2nd in order for their requests to be evaluated.  Best of luck to the students seeking to join the honorable ranks of our nation’s servicemen and women.”

NOTE: The deadline for submitting an application is November 2, 2015.
