Virginia State Police investigating meth seizures in Augusta County

policecar3Virginia State Police seized approximately $400 worth of methamphetamine in Augusta County on Saturday. At approximately 6:45 p.m., the Virginia State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation’s Appomattox Field Office, with the assistance of the Rockbridge Regional Drug Task Force, executed search warrants in Greenville at a motel along Lee-Jackson Highway and at a private residence.

Two meth labs were recovered and five people taken into custody. The investigation is ongoing, and the State Police is not releasing the names of those taken into custody at this time.

The five individuals have each been charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine and possession of precursors to manufacture methamphetamine.
