Going down: TNA Impact Wrestling scores lowest viewer numbers since Thanksgiving

Chris Graham

tnatna Impact Wrestling had been steadily growing since a Thanksgiving night ratings disaster. A recent trend back down cratered this week with a return to the area of that recent low number.

This week’s Impact drew just 997,000 viewers, down 18 percent from last week, and down more than 40 percent from the 2014 high of 1.393 million viewers for the Jan. 9 episode.

The Nov. 28 episode that had been the nadir for Impact in recent months drew just 921,000 viewers.

The new recent trend began with the high-profile departures of tna veteran stars Sting, AJ Styles and Jeff Jarrett, a talent drain that tna executives have dismissed as being a factor in its difficulties in retaining viewers.
