By day, Chris Womack is a JMU kinesiology professor, and his wife, Dawn Womack, is a podcaster.

When they get together on stage, they’re The Funny Womacks, a husband-and-wife comedy duo.

Putting the two together, the Womacks are offering a four-week training course, running on Wednesday nights, beginning next week, June 11, designed to help aspiring standup comics develop their comedic voice and create their own unique five-minute set.

Participants will explore joke writing, delivery, stage presence, and mic etiquette in a fun, encouraging environment—with real stage time included.
