waynesboro2editsSt. John’s Episcopal Church will host a community forum on homelessness in Waynesboro on Monday, June 17 at 7 p.m. Moderated by Fr. Kim Webster, the community is invited to hear updates on “Where we are now” and a discussion of “Where do we go from here?”

Speakers from Salvation Army, Waynesboro Area Refuge Ministry (WARM), Supportive Housing of Waynesboro (SHOW), House of Mary Emergency Shelter (HOMES), Waynesboro Christian Housing Alliance, and LOVE INC will discuss their current missions to assist the homeless population and present their future goals. Other interested groups have been invited as well. Time will be set aside for group discussions and questions and answers from the audience.

“The various community resources in Waynesboro have worked together to help those who are homeless in Waynesboro by providing them with food, shelter, clothing, and other needed services. We are proud of what has been accomplished in the past few years, and extremely excited about the plans for the future. We are pleased to host this community forum at St. John’s Episcopal Church,” says Fr. Kim Webster.

St. John’s Episcopal Church is located at 473 S. Wayne Avenue (corner of 13th and S. Wayne), Waynesboro.
