Virginia farmers have been harvesting pumpkins for three or four weeks now and will continue to pick for another week or two. They are a nice bright orange – or red, green, blue, white, striped or speckled – and the standard Jack-O-Lantern pumpkin may be a little bigger and heavier this year because of all the rain.
