Waynesboro Youth Baseball is hosting a baseball tournament for 10-year-olds July 1-3 and July 5-7. There are two games each day, one at Wayne Hills and one at North Park. Waynesboro Youth Baseball needs volunteers each evening to work from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at the gate, concession stand and scorekeeping.

The 2013 Waynesboro Generals Summer Camp, sponsored by SVB-SA, is set for June 24-27 at Linco Park at Kate Collins Field. The camp will be led by Generals head coach Mike Bocock and his staff – with instruction being offered by coaches at SVB-SA and Waynesboro Generals players.

The Waynesboro Generals donated more than 600 hours to community service in 2012, and have the support of the Community Foundation to back them up in 2013. A grant from the Community Foundation of the Central Blue Ridge will be used to pay for player meals in exchange for the continued donation of time by Generals players.
