augusta-health-foundation-headerAugusta Health will develop two properties over the next several months into outpatient facilities to meet the needs of their communities.  Both facilities will include physician offices, an Urgent Care Center, a laboratory and medical imaging services.

The first property, located at 201 Lew Dewitt Boulevard in Waynesboro, will consolidate many services located in Waynesboro into one central location.  These include the laboratory currently located on 13th Street in Waynesboro and physician offices of Kimberly Cheek, MD, and Barbara Fenton, MD, currently located on Jefferson Highway.  This renovated facility is scheduled to open at the end of the first quarter, 2014.

The second property, located on Stuarts Draft Highway in Stuarts Draft, will be new construction that will also include physician offices, an Urgent Care, a laboratory and medical imaging services.  The physician who will be moving into this facility is John Atlee (Jay) Snyder, DO, who recently opened his practice in Stuarts Draft.  This new facility is expected to open in third quarter, 2014.

“Our recent Community Health Needs Assessment revealed the access to medical services, especially primary care and especially in key locations within our community, is a significant need in our area,” said Mary N. Mannix, FACHE, President and CEO of Augusta Health.  “It’s important to us to offer a broad range of medical services that are not just delivered by quality providers, but are also conveniently located at the hours that match up with the lives people lead.  We believe both of these facilities will deliver that level of service for the communities of Waynesboro and Stuarts Draft.”
