The Waynesboro Police Department has charged a Staunton man with embezzlement after he stole several hundred dollars from his employer over a three-week period beginning in mid-September. Christopher Darrell Brookins, 23 years old, faces a single felony charge after it was determined he stole $620 from Walmart, 116 Lucy Lane.

Johnny Lee Coffey, 38 years old, faces nine felony charges for stealing a family member’s credit card and social security card. He racked up nearly $9,000 in purchases over a two week period.
