The following is a list of highway work that might affect traffic in the Staunton VDOT transportation district during the coming weeks. The Staunton district is comprised of 11 counties, Alleghany, Bath, Rockbridge, Augusta, Highland, Rockingham, Shenandoah, Frederick, Page, Warren and Clarke. Work scheduled is subject to change due to inclement weather and material supplies. Motorists are advised to watch for slow-moving tractors during mowing operations. Longwood scores in ninth to top VMI, 4-3

The VMI Keydets rallied to tie the game in the ninth, but a ninth-inning error allowed the Longwood Lancers to score the winning run, and escape with a dramatic 4-3 win in the opener of a Big South baseball doubleheader Saturday at Bolding Stadium in Farmville, Va. The loss snapped VMI’s (10-15, 2-3 Big South) four-game winning streak.
Augusta Health receives donation from W&L chapter of Fear 2 Freedom

Bach’s gem leads VMI to 1-0 win over Longwood

Connor Bach and John Garrett combined on a four-hit shutout, leading the VMI Keydets to a 1-0 win over the Longwood Lancers in Big South baseball action Friday at Bolding Stadium. The win runs VMI’s (10-14, 2-2 Big South) win streak to four consecutive games, and marks the first 1-0 Keydet victory since April 2, 1988.
