Gov. Bob McDonnell today announced three judicial appointments to fill vacant circuit court positions that were not filled during the 2013 General Assembly session. Robert R. Sandwich, Jr., will fill the 5th Judicial Circuit, Stephen E. Sincavage will serve in the 20th Judicial Circuit, and Charles L. Ricketts, III, will serve in the 25th Judicial Circuit.

Gov. Bob McDonnell announced this week the schedule of kickoff events across the Commonwealth for the “Virginia Adopts: Campaign for 1,000.” The campaign is an initiative to match 1,000 children currently in foster care with adoptive families. The governor launched the statewide campaign on May 17 from the steps of the Governor’s Mansion during Virginia’s Foster Care Month. The governor also announced today a social media campaign, “100 days, 100 kids,” which will feature the story of a Virginian foster child awaiting adoption each day for 100 days.

McCullough, a former starting pitcher and team captain for the Lancers, takes over for Charles Buddy Bolding, who recently retired after 35 years at the helm (953-544-4).

Virginia gubernatorial candidate Terry McAuliffe hand delivered 35,746 signatures to the Virginia State Board of Elections to secure his place on the ballot. Former Republican Delegates Vince Callahan, Katherine Waddell, businessman Major Reynolds, and supporters from across Virginia joined McAuliffe to deliver the petitions.
