Construction work will begin Monday on improvements to the Route 29 / Route 250 Bypass interchange in Charlottesville. The first work will involve clearing and grading to construct a storm water management pond inside the loop ramp in the southwest quadrant of the interchange.

The Virginia House of Delegates passed legislation Tuesday to require Northern Virginia transit transportation projects be evaluated and selected for funding pursuant to the same standards as all other transportation projects.
