Temporary traffic signals will be installed next week at two intersections on Route 29 to accommodate construction on the Route 29 widening project.

The Route 29 Project Delivery Advisory Panel will hold its regular biweekly meeting at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Virginia Transportation Research Council, 530 Edgemont Road, Charlottesville.

Highway work in the Lynchurg VDOT District requiring road/lane./structure closures is scheduled, weather permitting. Traffic may be restricted.

The following highway work is scheduled, weather permitting, in the Culpeper District during the upcoming week.

Drivers on Interstate 81 may experience delays beginning Dec. 1 during bridge repairs in Rockingham County and a sinkhole repair in Rockbridge County.

All construction work on the Route 29 Solutions projects that requires lane closures will be suspended over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.

The Virginia Department of Transportation will install flashing yellow arrow traffic signals at five intersections in the Staunton District beginning Dec. 1. The flashing yellow arrow is intended only for left-turning traffic, and indicates that drivers may turn left after they yield to oncoming traffic.
